About

I am Mike Wiberg, and I have been doing this for my own businesses for twenty years.

Stateline Tech is not a faceless agency. It is me. Before I ever offered to help another business with AI, SEO, a website, or selling online, I did every one of those things for my own companies, learned them the hard way, and made them work. Now I bring that same work to the farms, shops, and small businesses right here in the small towns of Northwest Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

Two decades of building real businesses

I have run my own business here for more than twenty years. My company, Out-Grow, is a cultivation supply business I have operated since 2009, and I grew it from a bigger team down to a lean, well-run operation that I market and manage across six online platforms myself. I did not read about ecommerce in a book. I have lived in it since the early days.

I have been selling on eBay since before most people had heard of it, on Etsy since 2005 when the site was brand new, and on Amazon since around 2011. I have run my own websites for more than fifteen years. That is not a resume line. It means when you ask me a question about Etsy, Amazon, Google, or Shopify, you are getting an answer from someone who was there, has the scars, and still does it every single day.

I have done everything I sell, for myself first

Everything Stateline Tech offers, I have already built and run for real. Here is the proof you can go click on right now:

  • out-grow.com, a business I built and have run since 2009, with the store, the SEO, and the automation all handled by me.
  • mushroomsubstrate.com, a second store I built and operate, where I fixed a real fulfillment mess by rebuilding the systems behind it.
  • imagecompressor.tools, a web app I designed and built end to end, from the code to the payments to the hosting.

When my own site was knocked down by more than ninety percent after a Google update, I did not hire that out. I learned what went wrong, did the recovery work myself, and built my own tools along the way to make it faster. That is the experience you are hiring. Not theory, and not a sales pitch, but someone who has already solved these exact problems with his own money on the line.

I know farms, factories, and the people who run them

I have spent my life around agriculture and industry in this region. I grew up on a farm outside McConnell, Illinois. I understand how a working farm actually runs, what a shop floor cares about, and why a busy owner does not have time for jargon or hand-holding. I have served this community through my own business for years, and I am not going anywhere. When I say I will come to your farm, your shop, or your office, I mean it, because these are my neighbors and this is my home.

Credentials that show I do things right

I take my work seriously, and I have the record to back it up. I hold a USDA permit covering a documented culture collection of more than three hundred species, I have been cited in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, and I won a federal trademark case protecting my business. I mention this not to talk about mushrooms, but because it tells you the kind of operator you are dealing with: careful, thorough, and willing to do the hard, correct thing rather than the quick, sloppy one. That is exactly how I will treat your business.

Who I help, and how

I help local businesses that know they are behind on technology and want a trustworthy person to simply handle it. That is the dairy owner who knows AI could save him money but has no idea where to start. It is the law office with a website that embarrasses them. It is the shop that nobody can find on Google. And it is the talented maker sitting on a gold mine of crafts who has never sold a thing online. If that is you, we will get along.

These are the businesses that feel forgotten by modern tech, out where the big-city agencies never bother to drive. They work hard, they have money, and until now they have had nowhere local to spend it on this kind of help. Honestly, if I could go back a few years to when I was figuring all this out the hard way, I would have hired me in a heartbeat. That is who I built Stateline Tech for.

Here is how I work. I speak plain English and never hide behind jargon. You get me, one accountable person, not a junior at an agency who disappears after the invoice clears. I price honestly and tell you when something is not worth your money. And I build things to last, then stick around to maintain them if you want. You can come sit down at my office, or I will drive out to you.
